Focused Android privacy

Lock your phone. Return to Home.

PocketVeil sends selected apps to Android Home when you lock your phone, so sensitive apps are not left waiting on screen when you return.

No account. No ads. No Android Internet permission.

A simple Lock Exit rule.

Choose the apps you want PocketVeil to protect. When one is open and you lock your phone, PocketVeil returns the device to Android Home.

  1. Choose a protected app

Set Lock Exit per app, so PocketVeil only acts where you want it to.

  2. Lock your phone

PocketVeil checks which app was in the foreground when the phone locked.

  3. Return to Home

If that app is protected, PocketVeil launches Android Home in the background.

PocketVeil does not close or force-stop the protected app. It backgrounds the app by returning you to Android Home.

Privacy without a cloud account.

PocketVeil is deliberately narrow in what it does and is designed to keep the information it needs on your device.

On-device processing

App-usage information used by PocketVeil stays on the device.

No account

PocketVeil does not require sign-in or a PocketVeil profile.

No ads

No advertising model or advertising SDK is built into the app.

No Internet permission

The Android app is deliberately built without Android's Internet permission.

No Accessibility Service

PocketVeil does not rely on Android Accessibility Services.

Device compatibility

Android behavior can vary by manufacturer and OS version. PocketVeil is currently being tested across multiple devices, so behavior and compatibility may vary.
